On the 17th January 2023, The Royal Automobile Club, Pall Mall, hosted a very special evening with Sir Jackie Stewart OBE to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of BRM’s World Championship.

At 5am, the iconic BRM P15 V16 Chassis I was delicately coerced through the doors of the Royal Automobile Club to greet guests from pride of place in the famous Rotunda.

Members of the Owen family, descendants of team patron Sir Alfred Owen, joined former BRM drivers Sir Jackie Stewart OBE, Richard Attwood, Jackie Oliver and Howden Ganley. We were also honoured to host Graham’s son, Damon Hill OBE and the ‘3 musketeers’ – 3 legendary BRM Mechanics, Dick Salmon, John Sismey and Ben Cassey who made the voyage down from Bourne.

This also marked the first occasion where we could welcome BRM Paddock Pass members to an event, and what an event it was…after a book signing of ‘Racing for Britain’ with Sir Jackie, the 160 guests were magnificently entertained by motorsport royalty who shared some of their entertaining memories of this great British Marque. A packed Mountbatten room was treated to an intimate evening listening to Sir Jackie Stewart OBE regaling captivating and humorous stories from his F1 career with BRM and beyond.

Thank you to all the team at the Royal Automobile Club for hosting a very special event that will live long in the memory and to Beaulieu’s National Motor Museum Trust for the loan of Britain’s first F1 car.
