NEW-BUILD UPDATE: GEAR BOX ASSEMBLY, FINISHING THE BODY WORK, 1948 TECHNICAL DRAWINGS

This week, we went up to Hall & Hall to meet a well-known motoring journal for an update on the build of the V16.

At Hall & Hall, Ricky is finishing the body work fit, before stripping back down and completing the chassis work. This marks a major milestone in the new-build update, and the car is really starting to come together mechanically and visually.

The gear box assembly is also progressing well, with the legendary ‘Dick’ using the original technical drawings from 1948, breathing life back into the iconic BRM designs.

Martin Smith at Hall and Hall has also spent this week assembling the Rolls Royce Supercharger, which has been recreated at Laranca Engineering using specialised 3D CAD drawings.
